this is a song i wrote about a year ago ... that was inspired by a poem that i'd written. here are the lyrics:

What do you think when time stops within our eyes?
And how do you feel when I catch you by surprise?
And what should I know about your intentions with my heart?
And how can I live when life is on trial from the start?

You're my hope floating at sea.
And the letters make me wonder
at our possibilities.

What I wanted to hear was - Baby I'll wait for you always.
But you wanted to say was - How can you be sure it's worth the wait?
Then a voice from above said what we needed then to hear.
He said - Listen, just trust Me, just love Me, just pray My will to be.

Nonetheless I've felt this feeling
Nonetheless too quickly burned
By the flickers of small flames
Kindled up between two forms.
Guardedly I'll stand and wait here
And deliberate I'll be
When the tide comes close
Then I'll approach
And find you in my sea.

hey, just a suggestion: in the chorus, when you sing the last word of the line (bottle, sea) don't go back to the C chord. You need to create TENSION, so instead try maybe an E or Em...

Like she/he said I feel inspired to continue writing my songs. I wish I new how to play guitar but the only instrument I know how to play is my voice and Even I have troubles with it sometimes.
