I think cold can transform cause both of his sons were able to transform so i am guessing it runs in the family (woah imagine what frieza's mom looks like O.o) he was probably so sure about trunks needing the sword to beat frieza that he didnt find it necessary to transform.

@TaizenArashi1 I agree man. I personally think Cold actually thought Trunk's power resided only in his sword, and he got a "cheap shot" if you will on Frieza. Being one of the most feared forces in the universe, King Cold found no need to transform on this mysterious young boy who just defeated his son with the swing on his sword.

king kold has 7 transformations, trunks didnt give king kold time to transform, his power level at his last is up their with cell

@XxDbzxSonicxX1 i doubt that. frieza claimed he was the most powerful in the universe even with his father standing right beside him. so i'm guessing his final fomr was weaker then frieza. but it is dbz and nothing is ever consistent

If king cold could transform he would be stronger than goku when goku first met trunks and he would also be stronger than trunks,but old had a FINAL form he would probably be somewhere around android 16,17,and 18,which means ssj2 and ssj3 and ssj4 goku could beat king cold 3rd form and final form :P
