@ASCII808 AHAHAHHAHHAAH your a funny guy

@ASCII808 lets be honest, most peeps will never use the real photoshop,it is way beyond most peeps and only for pro's,and most of them don't use it it to its full functionality.
plus if you are a pro you would not be wasting your time here as cs4 would be taking all your time to make people look good and tell not the real story.
sorry to be so critical but i come from a time when if you took a photo, that was it,that was your talent, not play with pixels to make you look good

@nathan8BIT You can't do more in gimp than photoshop. Ever.
-
@JamesManes That's probably a matter of personal preference. I personally like to use GIMP instead of Photoshop, I think I can do A LOT more than in photoshop.

@ASCII808 Not forcing Linux on people but for him to say that it not good until he can download it for Linux is just crazy. You can run Photoshop in Linux with Wine or Crossover. Linux is just different, just how if someone when from Windows full time to using OS X. People don't have to allow for the small learn curve.

Depends the Linux distro, I don't think anyone will can install LFS without reading some of the documentation.

For some people it is not an option to use Linux. Eric's video is right about not having Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. I have used Premiere and Photoshop and there is no way Cinelerra or Gimp match it. Don't force Linux on people like this with this misleading nonsense. Linux is not a viable replacement to most people unless they have very limited needs.

Gimp cannot replace photoshop. It's no where near good enough.

Good video dude & I respect the way you handled yourself from the flow of abuse coming from Applesoldier or should I say 'AppleCrumble' - Peace from the UK

That's pretty much what I just said in a comment to vwbond just now.
I've tried Ubuntu Studio. Sorry man, it's still light years away from my needs (audio field). It's good, but good is not enough for me or my coworkers. Mac OS is still the best professional choice for designers: architects, sound designers, musicians, movie makers, etc.
Probablly next Ubunto Studio release will be better, who knows. :)

@nemesis4go10 I understand that for you specific area of computing Linux isn't there yet. Is good that you were open to research and find out and are open to trying the next Studio release. Different OS are used for different specific areas of computing, but for the home use Ubuntu, Fedora or OpenSUSE will more then do. Thanks for commenting.
