A Poor Bird 一隻鳥仔

這首歌謠流傳於嘉南平原，歌詞只有短短數句，描寫一隻鳥兒在夜半時悽厲的呼喊，痛訴無巢的悲哀，以「覆巢之下無完卵」來暗喻當年日本侵占台灣的野蠻霸道，活生生見證了殖民­歲月中，臺灣人的憤怒和無奈。

台灣師大教授曾興魁老師編寫的樂曲，為男低音與混聲無伴奏的編制，全曲可分為兩段，前奏先以男低音半唸伴唱的獨唱帶入音樂主題，正式進入第一段後男低音持續演唱主旋律，女­聲以小三度的長音製造出淒涼的氣氛，男聲則以口技、用手摀嘴一放一合間，產生似鳥仔拍打翅膀的聲響；第二段織度變成四部和聲式，主旋律在上三聲部間流轉。最後尾聲則為一段­自由即興演唱，由弱至強不斷反覆樂句，製造出驚愕恐怖的聲響，嘎然結束整曲。
