Leo, I enjoyed hearing about your overall vision and agree with your emphasis on national unity and political renewal.

I'd like to challenge you on your four pillars - Youth engagement, economic development and the environment, foreign policy and diversity - and ask you to elaborate more...

I hope to hear from you, best wishes, KR

  • I am also convinced that there will be no quick fix to the issue, but the long term strategy is the best way forward, we could experience some problems along the way but as our capacity of vibrancy increases, sustainable growth and development will be the hall mark of this country.

  • Regarding the environment, I am convince that we have the natural resources and mineral capacity to develop cleaner technologies. So we will encouraging corporations to introduce cleaner technologies and our part of the process will be to invest more in research and development. The improvement of the human resource base of Canada through Education, skills development and diversification.

  • My Administration will therefore embark on a process of rationalizing our agencies of government to make them lean, efficient, and responsive to public service delivery in a realistic manner. This will require the creation of a system that places premium on qualification, professionalism, and performance, thereby eradicating stereotypes and systemic discrimination. We will be empowering Canadians through an alternative employment system by diversifying the development of their skills.

  • This will call for a transformation of our economic vision into economic goals that are consistent with our national endowment and regional and global dynamics.

  • I do recognize and want you to be fully aware that the task of solidifying our economy is awesome, for which there will be no quick fix, but gradual and sustainable.

  • I think there is a unique opportunity for Canada to play a leadership role in working out responsible relationships with other countries through empowerment.

  • Concerning the issue of Foreign Policy, I am suggesting that Canada should step back from the international scene, I am asking that Canada play a more responsible role consistent with our values as an independent and sovereign nation. We should be actively empowering people than putting ourselves in the position of being the solution to their problems when most of the time we have no detail understanding and implications of cultural and regional dynamics of said issues.

  • I am strongly convinced that by doing this, we will gradually make the provinces an inner working of Federal Government and the pressure will be on the Provinces as well to do more on specific issues that will emanate from the engagement and involvement of young people from across the country.

  • There will be an annual conference every year comprising of the larger population of young people to review and evaluate the work of their colleagues, develop institutional framework and recommendations for continued improvement in policies.

  • This is why I mentioned in the video response that we will establish a National Youth Council from all the Provinces that will advice the Prime Minister on specific issue surrounding young people. I intend to have term of reference for members of this council to enhance demographic dynamics and rotation.
