This piece is not in 6/8 it is in Cut time 4/4 in 2. Sometime this cut time feels like the duple time quality of 6/8 as it has a strong 2 pulse but this is not the case here. Also, the primary pulse of of 6/8 time is the dotted quarter (i.e.- 1 and ah, 2 and ah) and this piece has no dotted quarter notes at all. Hope this helps.

The song is in 6/8 and the accompaniment in 2/4. She is singing it in 2/4. The meter should feel as if it is triple and it does not.
