In September and Early October 2008, I rode 3343.7 miles from Disneyland to Walt Disney World raise money for "The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp", "Team Duke" and cancer awareness. Set to the music "Route 66" covered by John Mayer from the 2006 Disney*Pixar movie "Cars".

  • I found your video when I was looking through the Let the memories begin on the Disney web site. And I just found it again to watch today. Thank you for submitting your awesome video. I got to enjoy the ride with you. Since its something I can never do because I am in a wheelchair. But you made it like I was there with you. Thanks for sharing your ride with all of us. Great Job!!!

  • @purpletink007 Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughts! It truly was a trip of a lifetime.

I look back on it now and am sometimes a bit amazed that I actually did it. I wrote a daily blog (in words and pictures) that is still out there on the "World Wide Weird Web". It's there mostly just for me to remember all the things I saw and people I met.

My whole goal of the blog (and then video) was to share what I saw, and keep most references to me, personally, out of the telling.

  • THATS AWSOME!!!!

  • LOVED your photos. I never knew that Mr. & Mrs. Potatohead were just toy versions of real live human-sized Potatoheads! You got a great shot of the "Beyond Hope" sign which we have failed to get so far. It sure was fun to meet you and hang with you in Saint Nathaniel. Incredible job making that bike trip. Hope to see you again some time. Maybe some time when we get out to see Salad Sister Alexandra in Rainbow we can rendez-vous? Best Dressings! Momato

  • Great work - and very inspiring. I hope I can do more things like this: push myself physically, explore, help a charity. The pictures really capture Americana.

  • Amazing!!!

  • Beautiful! Looks like a fantastic tour, Michael!
