@neilmak sorry dear!!! But I have to disagree with you...I've never ever heard this song sang more beautifully then Two cousin in Rotorua NewZealand they sing this song so Beautifully.. they just take your breath away.. I even got their names i was so impressed Whare and Awhi

BEAUTIFUL photographs of the Maori women, and great singing by Marie Te Hapuku.
Tears of joy in my eyes and memories come up when I hear the beautiful love song. Long ago I stayed for quite a while in Aotearoa… In 1985 I have heard in Kaitaia in a marae the song for the first time.
