1981 Dianne DeLeeuw (1975 World Champ) Holland

This is all I have on Dianne DeLeeuw, 1975 World Champion and 76 Olympic Silver Medalist. Beautiful, leggy skater (in the tradition of Hanna Moskova/Czechoslovakia) with great spins....triple jumper, solid freeskater. Someone needs to find her 75 World FreeSkate at Colorado Springs..., hitting many double jump combinations! Took the concept of jump combinations to new heights that evening! While your at it, a little Souki Djycstra (1962 World and Dutch champion) wouldn't hurt either. (Who thinks up these Dutch names???)

hey k9..have you been able to locate any video clips from Dianne's 76 Olympic performance? Especially the long program, I remember it well, and how the american judge scored her sooo low! all the judges gave her 5.8's, 5.9's, but the american judge gave her a 5.2 ! ridiculous! I'd love to see her performance again..let me know

Did she jump one way and spin the other? Her last spin is clockwise, but her jumps are counter.

Hey Kounting6, My name is Michael Bowers. I grew up with Vicki Heasley, she lived across the street from me. I skated alot at West Covina, But was a member of Artic Blades. Deanna Stone and I won 1976 Interclub, Bronze Dance that year. Our coach was Darlene Dyer.
