Poor Marty. SH does an excellent job of portraying Marty's anguish and despair in these scenes.

The freeze frame on the silent scream in the shower gets me every time. So heart wrenching to see the moment when Marty allowed herself to feel what had happened to her.
Making Kevin a part of the story really did add another dimension to an already powerful story. And the fact that Kevin really did seem to realize almost from the first that something bad had happened that night only made it more sad when he got swept into the middle of it.

It added such a great twist to the story though. Since Marty/Todd et al were still fairly new to the canvas at this point, and Powell was a Buchanan but no one really cared about him! Having Kevin, and hence the Buchanans, involved, made it much more interesting!

I know I felt so bad for Kevin too, especially since they had just became friends! And she confused him with the other three. And Todd and the rest were scum knowing what they did, and knowing he didn't have anything to do with it.

Poor Kevin, he's just trying to be nice and (a) He has no idea why Marty's screaming at him, and (b) Getting the sweater dry cleaned makes it look like he's trying to cover up and trying to give it back to her makes it look like he's harassing her.
