If you're a fan of all the police procedural shows on TV, then you'll definitely be interested in some of these books. Barry Trott reviews various police series, recommending some of the best mysteries and thrillers!
Arnaldur Indriðason's Reykjavik Murder series are good too. I liked his Jar City A.K.A Tainted Blood. There weren't any twists unfortunately but the story was nice and the people involved are usually related to each other. I'm reading his second book in the series at the moment titled 'Silence of the Grave.' The protagonist is a cop and has his own family issues too
