The point is that Blair earns a huge amount of money because he was PM. He's influenced events in order to benefit himself. Thousands have died to make him rich. That's not a melodramatic poetic analogy - that's a simple statement of fact.

'Human nature'? 'Get over it'? Just how ignorant are you?

  • @tjwright55 But that's not the point mate. We should be setting standards. That other countries are corrupt and run by cocks isn't a compliment.

It's the fact the government are in bed with big business and the elite. We're supposed to be in a Democracy. In a Democracy the government serve the people.

If you think a Plutocracy is a good thing I'd say you have your head up your arse

  • politics is for the rich, we need to take parliament back, there ar no commoners in the house of commons, a coup is the only thing to rid these thieves and traitors that have done genocide to this country, cxf, nfse

  • wheres the uncensored version

  • I stop a little short of applauding this because it is incomplete. What is missing is the part journalists play, who also have more interests in common with politicians and with each other than with the general public, and who also collude against the general public.

Example: the logic and necessity of so-called 'austerity' is not seriously challenged by any major British TV news programme. This does not reflect the diversity of informed and considered opinion, and it cheats the public.

  • If govt controls the economy this is inevitable. Get govt out of the economy

  • I see they didn't have the "BALLS" to broadcast the names

  • The gap is too wide between the haves and have nots. Time to bring them down.

  • Governments should not do their bidding for the elite nor for the monopolistic banks and businesses.

  • yessss...at last someone that knows exactly what is going on... speaking out like this... he'd better watch his ass though!

  • a thoughtful and well-presented piece by oborne.

a pity his print journalism is so pisspoor.
