I found this talk to be a much more accurate representation of 2012 and McKenna's philosophy than is normally spewed out as a surface-level thinking on McKenna's works.

"it's hidden from me"... that's a signal that it is reality. Because only in fantasy to we always know the beginning, middle and end of reality. Check into that, you'll know it's true. Anything this important shows it's value and origin already, without betraying it's ultimate purpose. Sounds a lot like the Obelisk in 2001, but I believe McKenna. Looking forward to November 26, 2011, start of the last "short epoch". being a year and 19 days long.

All of the "not making sense" stuff is explained by the fact this calendar originated with the Aryans. They arrived at a point in time, August, and set it running then.

Forgive my ignorance. But could somebody educate me on this. Why is 2012 relevant to a Miyan calander as it is a Christian date? And, despite that this is obviously not a Mayan numerical system, where does this date in Sanskrit numerology parralel the Mayan calander. The video shows pictorial evidence that this date was recorded in ancient history, so are these engravings really connected or just by coincedence & by whom were they written?

i have learned a truth. our sun orbits another much larger sun, one ful orbit of the larger sun takes aprox 26,000 plus years. like our planet has differnt seasons as we orbit our small sun, so does the sun as is orbits the larger sun. 2012 is just an equinox, we are entering our suns spring time! research indigo childs total recall. i heard it from a young spanish man.. and he really opens your eyes.
