@SkylerCowley So, the recruiters will tell you what you want to hear. They genuinely "don't give two shits". Their job is to recruit...obviously, so they will do what it takes. DEFINITELY do you're homework when referring to any information that they give you.

I'm wanting to join the Army. I don't know anyone who is in the Army but I have been warned that recruiters are liars. Could anyone give me some advice please? What do I need to know that they won't tell me or that they will lie about? Thanks

Im leaving for basic summer 2012. so i hear a lot about stealing in this video and you also mention purchasing items at the PX. I was only wondering.. do people also steal money to buy items at the PX? would cash or card be better for something like that?

@snowboardersrule You are required to have a debit card with a bank account set up with direct deposit for Army pay before you ship for basic combat training. Also, you are encouraged to bring some cash with you when you ship for basic combat training, but no more than $50 cash.
