i love this song I knew of this band but had no ideal they could sing this way it has soul of country oh yes and i saw them on lettermen i did not know who to spell their names r.b and all types of songs i do love and if it were the simple life there would be no gangs and just the nightmare we have now

It's amazing how i love every chapter of the band's history! First got to know their old stuff, thought it can't get any better, then discovered "The Last Rebel" (and then other albums from the time after the accident), which is at least equally good (imo) and now "God & Guns"... "Simple Life" became one of my favourite songs ever and I hope that this wasn't their last album! Bought two t-shirts today to honour their amazing work at least a little bit ;-)

I wouldnt call it replaceing Billy, however they have Peter Keys ,now on Keyboards. Peter has been a close friend to the band and to Billy Powell also. Believe Me Peter is a great musician and man.
