Film based on Alexander Dumass The Count of Monte Cristo. Prem Nazir gave a scintillating performance which was hitherto unknown in Malayalam films.

  • prem nazir should oscar in this film

  • I saw the movie years ago. Prem Nazir's acting was etched in my memory. Kudos to Navodaya Appachen for bringing out the best in the legendary actor. It was towards the end of his life that Mr. Nazir brought out the best of his acting talents; Padayottam and Vida Parayum Mumbe were two movies.

His dialogue delivery and expressions in this particular scene is simply beyond words as he carries us through a labyrinth of emotions (which is the hallmark of Indian cinema) with perfection.

  • best of the best performance ever from prem nazir..

  • the movie had lot of prominent actors.. this movie had one of the best performance from nazeer..

  • Kollaaaaaam

  • An utmost lesson of dialogue delivery. No shouting, no undue rising of eyebrows, no throwing of fists in air, no unwanted gesturing. Watch how he paces the dialogue, modulates the voice, putting sorrow, anger, despair and tone of revenge to the voice. To think that this was taken 30 years back with no digital recording. The Suresh Gopis should watch & study this!!
