Is this a sportsman with ebs? I'm having trouble finding a belt replacement for my 02 sportsman 400. It has ebs and I can't find a belt, they are all "non" ebs..

great video, i have a polaris xpress 300 2 stroke, polaris indy 440, and polaris switchback 600, and a little yamaha bravo 250 hahaha
-
@ThePolarisman98. i had that problen too. i took off the cover, then used a propane torch to heat up the area where it was hitting and just warped it out with round object. works really good actually. beat buying a new cover set for 250 bucks

@XXINTL Yeah i just put a video of mine on and you can hear it hitting the cover a little bit....
-
@ThePolarisman99 either your weights or bushings in the primary clutch are shot, or the new belt is hitting the clutch cover... i had the same problem. all fixed now tho.

@mcskatin the clutch on mine it looks like the same year as that one, i just put a new belt on it and when i start it up it makes a loud clicking noise and it does the same when i rev it up....do you know what it is??

@mcskatin IF DOING A CUSTOM build id recomend getting the polaris cluch alignment tool(ebay less than $20) because the pulleys are offset from one another may save you a pelt or two in the long run if not aligned corectly
do the sides of the pulleys move because of the speed of the shaft or do they move because some kind of electric programming?

@mcskatin
Yes it all works by centrifugal force really. The front pulley has a weighted clutch, the rear has large spring.

@chawness I was going to put a polaris sportsman cvt clutch just like this one in a homemade buggy that I am building. Just to make sure, here is a final question: So when I hook this cvt in my buggy, it wont require anything electrical; no plugs, no wires, no switches?? It will move like that into the higher ratio on its own?
And I thank you and appreciate your reply. Not many people reply back to youtube questions.

@mcskatin
Correct there are no wires or switches, it all works by the weights and springs.
