The advantage to a Boer war reenactment is that the whole family can take part! Hee! Hee!

OK, maybe that wasn't so funny.

  • @biltongbru

Who would have carried the Martini? By '98 it was obsolete.

I thought you guys carried the Mauser exclusively, though I guess there was never a wholly reliable arms pipeline to Europe and there were never enough to go round.

As I understand the British Lee-Metford was having serious teething troubles in it's transition from black powder to smokeless and it's accuracy was pretty lousy.

  • @confederatefan

A confederate would side with the boers...

  • @camerl2009

It was called the "pom-pom' for the sound it made. It was a virtual scaled up Maxim machine gun. I'd kill to see one in a museum but I never have.

  • @MrHaveGun Yet he won 2 wars and put down a highly skilled insurgency which is something your countrymen fail completely at doing.

  • Awesome stuff , officially envious my friend. Great collection.

  • what about the SMLE in your call of duty 2 video? Is that boer war, or WW1?

  • Really amazing -

  • Amazing!

  • Looks to me that your Lee-Metford has been adapted for hunting or sporting. The stock does not appear like that in original configuration. I like your Martini Henry rifle, very fun rifle to shoot!
