Laura is so amazing. I went to school with her and remember her singing in to a milk bottle during a science experiment! Bizarre!!

I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. On one hand, I don't like the portrayal of the elves - way too Avatar-y and not enough simple elegance; the makeup and haristyles are also not very elvish. However, it's all a separate interpretation of the books, so I can accept it.
On the other hand, the music is beautiful and the aerials, though somewhat strange at first, are actually quite lovely and I can't imagine anyone singing this on the ground :)

@Serena2009ification ... very true but perhaps that's what the director wanted her character to be seen to be doing... there was a lot of story line changing in this musical... and it wouldn't surprise me if that's what was in the 'storyline' of the script. It was a brilliant musical but for a hardcore LOTR fan - I made myself forget the 'real' story... I thoroughly enjoyed the music and this musical but yeah storyline was quite removed from LOTR :P

I remember seeing this back in September 2007 - pretty sure it was Laura - she was brilliant ... I remember her voice being the one that I didn't forget after... even now I listen to the soundtrack and often skip to her solos :P

That's awesome....what kind of experiment was it? Did she break the glass?

"laura-michelle-kelly" "you" MUST REMEMBER WHO "I" AM
"I" AM THAT AMAZING-'LOOKING'-'MAN' THAT SAT NEXT TO "you" ON THAT "Delta- First- Class" FLIGHT ON THE WAY TO "London" THAT HONESTLY TOLD "you" "'I' AM TRYING TO GET TO 'STONEHENGE'" SO "I" BE COMPLETELY-"physically"-HEALED AND "you" HELD THE HAND "I" HAVE AS "you" PRAYED-&-CRIED!!! (like a fool "I'' lied to "you" in pride saying "'I'-am-OK" (as "I" was truly in tremendous pain) AND "you" SAID "'I' will take 'you'" - PLEASE CONTACT ME

Can anyone tell me when Abbie took over?
I saw the show in June...which leading lady did I see perform?
nuttyducky29 3 years ago
It would've been Abbie then, or one of her understudies cos Laura's last performance was Saturday January 26th 2008 =]
But I saw Abbie in the role on July 19th and she did a decent job =]

In regards to people enquiring about Abbie she really is not up to the same standard as LMK was Her singing is average and the way she delivers lines lacks subtlty and sounds more like an old woman giving a crystal ball reading(I saw her recently so I know) I was really disappointed with their choice of replacement having seen LMK in Sept. and being blown away by her sincere and frankly perfect performance. Go and see Lotr for Rosalie Craig now for she is the remaining leading lady in my opinion

Ok well I saw the final show in the evening of the final night.
I thought Abbie sounded very VERY similar to Laura and that she was a good choice as her replacement.
As for Rosie, yeah she rocked the show too...and all the fans at the Stage Door at the end blew her away.
Just an AMAZING night!
