Hi i've been given a compaq presario C700 with a faulty screen. At a certain angle I can get it to work but not very often. What do you think the problem is and can it be easily fixed?

@Kingcookieish most likely, it's the video cable. I would look for one on ebay.

My Grandson dropped his CQ57 and messed up the LCD display. The CQ57 does not have the two screws in the bottom of the display. Is the replacement procedure the same with the exception of the two screws? Thanks for all of the info.

@Kingcookieish My sister had the same problem. A couple weeks later the screen just gave out and busted inside. The liquid crystal was leaking in her screen and now it's totally broken.

@ScreenSurgeons Everything looks just like the cq56, just without the two screws that you removed with the small flat head screwdriver. I'll try to get a photo. Thanks.
