Very nice; I also have this backingtrack. The guitar is a bit out of tune and you should do more work on your phrasing.

What scale is being played?

It's a pretty much a C melodic minor scale (or C aeolian mode, depending on which way you look at it) - C, D, E flat, F, G, A flat, B flat, although I also stick in the odd flattened 5th and chromatic note here and there.

Ah, this is what an ES was meant to sound like.

Thanks very much for that. I'd really like an ES-175 for playing this sort of material, but, having said that, the 335 is very versatile and gets close to that sort of tone.
