BTW you Canadian bastards didn't 'invade' Iraq but you sure jumped-on for the ride afterwards. That's why I LAUGHED SO HARD when the Americans bombed & killed you dipshits by 'mistake'.

Serves you right for being such yankee brown nosers.

Canadians ALSO save alot of money thanks to the fact that they don't spend trillions on invading other (sometimes even wrong!) countries or bailing-out their criminally irresponsible buddies over at Goldman Sachs. Add to that the fact that Canada also doesn't SQUANDER it's government money on IDIOT programs like 'cash for clunkers' and it's easy to see why Canada does well while the USSA is FUCKED.

Canadians pay A LOT more taxes than Americans. But then again we have free healthcare, a stronger education system, affordable university, and less of a debt problem (we had surpluses for several years before recession. Has gotten a bit worse but there is serious talk in the government about managing debt). If Americans can accept higher taxes they may be able to dig themselves out of this hole. I hope they do because they are our great neighbour to the south and a strong and dependable ally.

And really, Americans MUST raise taxes. All I hear from Americans are that taxes must be lowered, that they hate taxes, etc. In reality, it goes like the old saying: "You get what you pay for."

It sort of matters who did it, especially if you are going to put the same people who caused it, in charge of solving the problem.

It doesn't matter to me who did it as much as what are WE going to do about it. I've started getting my own house in order. I've started paying down my debt the past few months and while difficult to do in the beginning because of long term bad spending habits, it has become much easier and exciting as I see my debt decreasing. My personal goal is to become completely debt free. My goal my country is the same.

*sigh* This movie has that "We" problem. Who is "we"? The gap of spending - the deficient - is only a reflection of this cognitive blackout. ... Atlas Shrugged.
