you are not massaging the stomach. more like the colon and part of the small intestine. the stomach is located much much higher

Boris usually doesnt recommend massage if you have a possible unknown medical condition, because massage can cause further injury. you should talk to a medical doctor.

Dear xoxsianiixox,
Lubber spine and abdominal massage can be very helpful in cases of dumping syndrome symptoms, as well as bowel syndrome, constipations etc. Massage has power to balance activities of autonomic nervous system.
If you develop the dumping syndrome and its not post surgical phenomena, then control stress, eat in small portions, receive massage and I believe you will get rid of this symptoms. However you should be seen by a Dr.

Hi, I know one of clients that suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. Would you recommend me to use such a massage?

Dear Kesh80,
Irritable bowel syndrome is a stress related disorder. The parasympathetic division of nervous system is overactive due to strain of antagonize sympathetic activities. For 25 minutes perform stress management massage. At least half of the time should be spent on lower back region by performing kneading/petrissage. Following this, perform 10 to 15 minutes stomach massage. For results, at least 15 treatments needed. I hope this information was helpful.
