  • 2 kids? Well that's convinced me. Two kids that probably have religious parents, as religion is the only reason gay marriage hasn't been accepted in society.

Imagine if a husband or wife was widowed? Should they not be allowed to raise children? Again, show me some evidence that's not anecdotal.

  • I've worked and gone to school with many foster kids, one day in class this topic came about and 2 of the foster kids stated they would rather have been left to jump from parent to parent then have to live with a gay couple- and its just not fair for a child to be brought up without the views of both sexes of parents

  • Nope, they don't have the same rights. Straight people can marry someone they love, gay people can't. Sorry.

And what the fuck are you talking about? Children are fine with two same sex parents. Show me a study that says they aren't. Moron.

  • Maine allows adoption by gay couples now.

Telling me that I can marry any woman sort of removes the issue of love and attraction. Perhaps you think marriage IS only to make babies? I don't even want kids, so what gives?

As far as "allowed to whimsically marry anyone they take a fancy to," straight people do it all the time. There are more false-marriages of heterosexuals than there ever would be by gays.

No on 1, so EVERYONE can marry the person he or she loves.

  • Yes on 1!- Glad to see there are some videos applying a more honest view of marriage in Maine. Currently gays have the same rights as straight people- they can marry someone of the opposite sex, why should they be allowed to whimsically marry anyone they take a fancy to? If Question 1 doesn't pass next they'll be attempting to adopt children and no child deserves to not have a parent of both sexes.
