New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Reza Momeni shows a less invasive and more ingeneous way of correcting the cosmetic deformity of the chest. Pectus excavatum (hollow chest) deformity is not uncommon (sometimes mild and other times severe in its form). The chest deformity is often the source of self-consciousness for the patients while growing up. Several surgical techniques (Nuss procedure, Ravitch procedure, etc) are available. Reza Momeni, MD FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, and has been listed as a Top Doc in the New York Metro and New Jersey areas. www.DrMomeni.com

@cfl102 Not everyone has health issues related to PE. For some of us its just the appearance we need corrected.

unfortunately most insurance companies won't cover this unless it affects breathing.

Nuss procedure is the best way to repair and get better results, normally nuss is for children and young teenagers but still can be done for young adults

This is very stupid to have done.. Why go threw surgery to repair pe, without actually repairing the pe?! Your still gonna have all the symptoms! Nuss all the way

Hi, what is the typical cost of surgery like this? Mine would also require an insert like this, but mine is slightly deeper, and a bit more spread out. I'd really like to get it sorted out... but i'm based in the UK, so not sure what my options are. Thanks
