The folks who complain about AT. Do you really think that singing is all about hitting the pitch. There are many other vocal qualities needed to sound good. Tone, pace or timing, enthusiasm or stage presence. Obviously this device can't correct awful pitch, the singer has to be close to the note. This just adjusts the note to the correct pitch. Those in the HH industry hate this device but they still use it with most songs. Many of the hip hop songs use prior material for their base.
how easy is this to turn on/off during a live performance?
i'm looking to get this for that cher effect, i dont want it on all this vocals though. my vocalist needs to be able to turn it on/off on the fly during the song

yep. you can turn it on/off via a footswitch. (sold separately)
