If you were serious about going fast in 1965, this was the "street friendly" version of the original Mopar 426 cubic inch big block. Sure everyone thinks "Hemi' when they here 426, but before the vaunted hemispherical head engine was the "Max" and "Street" wedge 426 engines. It was a price upgrade, ove $500 on a $2600 car, but as one reviewer said, MOPAR didn't leave much off the table when it came to this motor. The Street Wedge was the milder cousin of the race ready "Max Wedge".This was a truly go fast option for the day!

This is a clone or someone took the original crossram off...either way, this is not how it came from the factory.

1964 & 1965 426/365 horse street wedge's were nothing more than a bored-out 413, that was in the big Chrysler's, & Imperial's...Oh... they did have a big O.E.M. chromed air cleaner, & chromed rocker cover's...
