  • Great playing, but one suggestion? On jazzy tunes like this, rather than going right through the circle of fifths (e.g. D7, G7), it often sounds better to add minor 7th chords (e.g. D7, Dm7, G7). This makes the progressions sound smoother and more modern.

On accordion, you play a minor 7th by playing the major chord 3 rows below the bass note... So to play a Dm7, you play a D bass note with F major chord.

When you have that down, try Dm7(b5)---D bass note with F minor chord. Have fun!

  • Bravo bravissimo bellissima interpretazione

  • This is really great. I have the utmost respect for your talent across so many types of music. Great technique, fabulous improvisational abilities, and a superb stage presence (having seen you play in Las Vegas & San Jose). I'm also amazed at how quickly you made the transition to the chromatic accordion. What a future!
