@tapholov or maybe cause you're an idiot.

Wow, cyclists like you are what give the rest of us a bad name. If you have to be on the sidewalk, go slow(no more than 10kph, even that is too fast in some situations). Traffic laws also must be obeyed. That means stopping at traffic light and such. There is wanting to 'be free' then there is suicidal. I would suggest looking up a local class on cycling.

Looks very healthy.

Your ebike is cool, but you ought to get some headlights and not ride like a drunkard. Good day.

To travel at these apparent speeds I'd want disc brakes!

Why are you riding against traffic and on sidewalks?

I can think of a hundred reasons. Maybe I just don't want to be like you. Maybe because I'm free. Maybe because this is how we do it in Quebec. Maybe because I was born in an era when such things were not only allowed but recommended. Maybe I like to scare people off. Maybe because I feel that I still live in a world where the masses don't have all the rights. Maybe stopping global warming was also slightly illegal a little while ago. I still feel that I'm doing my part. Peace to you.

Yep! hydrolic disk brakes are the way to go and stop with a one-fingered operation. I'd waste a lot of rubber otherwise.

The Nuvinci hub comes with a freewheel as part of the hub. On top of that freewheel is a normal freewheel with standard, normal, usual screw-in type of mount, the one you would buy to modify a 10-speed to single speed. You then select a number of teeth to suit your riding style.
