I used to have those magazines but sadly we don't have them anymore I think they got thrown out but I remember reading them on long car trips.

Holy Christ! I remember being an avid reader of this way back in the day. I entered a contest to win a t-shirt, and wrote out a ridiculously long response to a question involving time travel (it was the plot of the Jr. Jays adventure in one issue) on a long, thin piece of paper, and sent it in. I ended up winning an incredibly large shirt that I gave to my mother. They always had the best contests.

Oh boy. So many memories.
Way back before I became RetroWinnipeg, I was heavily into these magazines, entering their contests (and winning significant stuff, including an autographed hockey stick, numerous t-shirts and caps, and two [TWO] trips!) and following the Blue Jays. Jr. Jays Magazine is now known as The Magazine (available at A&P, Dominion, Sobeys, Safeway, Zellers, etc.) without Blue Jays branding.
A pretty ridiculous mention about the early issues were the blatant prod placements.
