This is a short video from friday may 9th 2008 in Atlanta for Pinks All out. These were the friday runs. This was actually in commerce GA which is close to Atlanta
We were the 2001 yellow GT convertible with the white top and the 89 LX and the black s10. Don't know about the guy you are talking about but was he the one with the red Lightning pulling the yellow GT mustang?
Camaros and the sort were meant for racing. The feat accomplished here is that a truck (which trucks really aren't meant for racing because of their inherent design of being light in the rear and not aerodynamically friendly) was built with a small block and his less than 11 seconds on the quarter. Anything less than 13 on a quarter in a TRUCK is an accomplishment. They are heavy vehicles not shaped for racing.
Yeah, Becky's pretty cool, especially to let her husband spend all that money to race. What were you driving? Did you meet the guy that was hanging out with them? I can't remember his name, but he was cool too. He had all sorts of odd ball tools in his pocket and when we needed a light to see under the hood of the truck, he had one.
