LEBANON, Ohio (WKRC) -- There is a growing demand for specialty license plates that feature teams, schools, causes and other interests. And the high demand is keeping prisoners at the Lebanon Correctional Institution busy making them. The tag shop at the prison uses technology available since 2002 that makes creating the hundreds of different plates easy. Inmates learn trade skills they can use once they are free. Only those who have shown good behavior are allowed to work in the tag shop. There inmates make 80 dollars a month as opposed to the 17 dollars a month the average inmates earn.
