Can anybody tell me the name of the second singer pls?! (the older one)
-
@zouhairuk I spent time with the Gypsies in Sindh, and what you don't seem to know is that both the rhythm structures and belly dancing were brought to the Middle East and to the Arab countries by the Gypsies. Nothing in the rhythm structure of a Bulerias can be found in Arabic countries, whereas it can very much be found in Indian and Pakistani rhythm structures. Also, the style of singing is identical to the style in India and Pakistan.
-
@Vierotchka hmmmm I heard the gypsies in both Pakistan and India there is not even a tiny comparison to the Flamenco, flamenco has been influenced by Arabic rhythms, after all the arabs have stayed several centuries in Andalusia (south of Iberia)
-
Эмоционально, потрясающе!
-
@texidodj The rhythm structures, the harmonies, the singing style and voices, the melodies etc., of the Sind gypsy music are identical to Flamenco.
-
@texidodj Wrong - if you heard the gypsies in Pakistan (Sind) sing and play, you'd realize that this is where Flamenco singing and playing originated.
-
@hanzzee Good point! "!A mi ese gachó tan rubio no me toca!"
-
@MrArmjoven What do you base that dumb bs remark on? The gypsies DID come from Northern India ! It's you who is the brainless %#^% here

Hi there. Gypsis are all over the world. No matter where they come from originally. The matter is that ONLY IN THE SOUTH OF SPAIN AND IN ANDALUCÍA SPECIALLY you can find the origins of FLAMENCO, & of course it´s a mixture of cultures & musics. It´s not at all only a gypsis music, Though gypsis & "payos"(white spaniards) sing it & play it with some different touches.
3 tipos merecen un guitarrazo en la cabeza por no saber de musica!!!....

@Vierotchka Correct, but not all of these musicians are gypsies. Paco, for example, is half Spanish, half Portugese.
