This is a short demo of a 'BOX' &GEOM object moving down a 'tunnel'. This video demonstrates an upcoming feature of FDS_6, using the Immersed Boundary Method (IBM). The FDS input file for this simulation was created by Randy McDermott and be found on the FDS-SMV Discussion Group site. http://groups.google.com/group/fds-smv/msg/3a43c731b8d6ae6b

  • @enronc yes this feature is still in very early stages of development and testing. I also have another video here showing a 'baseball' sphere moving with a XYZ vector of 20,0,-2. This will change and improve much of what people can use FDS for. We are working now at Thunderhead Eng. to integrate the new geometry features into our future releases of PyroSim.

  • Very impressive! I read in the FDS discussion forum that this function is still in beta testing, right?
