  • This clip is my personal god.

    Barney is THE MAN.

  • @woodbell67 Yeah, I have all the bells and whistles on my rig from multi effects to distortion and do sometimes use them sparingly, but there is nothing like the sound of a great jazz player just going direct and letting his fingers do the talking. I bought this DVD for six bucks. It has live performances from Joe Pass, & Grant Green to Wes Montgomery and many others. Glad you enjoyed it. These cats left a great legacy, the great American tradition of jazz and bebop.

  • Could you please correct the title? It is "Barney" Kessel - not Barny, thanks.

  • @HFSTube Hows that chief?

  • This guy was also the "hands" that played guitar in the "Jim Lindsey" episode of the Andy Griffith Show when the guitar player was in jail - The actor holding the guitar was James Best (Roscoe P. Coletrain) but Barney was really doing the picking..

Just a bit of trivia most people don' t know..
