  • This is the finest rendition of the French Suites I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. I have owned this CD for many years, and I never grow tired of Gould's flawless performance. If J.S. Bach could have heard Gould, I dare say he would have been proud, and ever so slightly in awe. Did Bach or Gould have a "God Complex"? Let me tell you something, they were God! -CJW
