@pbguitars if you're not sure which is which I suppose you could (turn your amp way down) take a quarter, or another coin, and lightly tap your pickups, the one that's active will pickup the tap and amplify it, not very elegant, lolol

I have a five position switch, but 3 pick ups and 2 tone control knobs. I am a complete novice so i have no idea. Great vid though :)

I have a 5 way switch, and 2 normal pickups then one like double pick up (sorry don't know the name, i'm kind of a beginner xD ) Which switchs determine which pick up is used, if you know what i mean, and what does the double pick up do?

i have an epiphone dot studio and the pick up selector is vertical? so im not sure which is which. please respond

In the middle position both pickups are turned on. When the switch is "up" the neck (or Rhythm) pickup only is turned on. When the switch is "down" the bridge (or Treble) pickup is turned on.
