Kawasaki KZ1300, 6 cylinder, 120 HP, water-cooled, shaft drive, produced for a short time as a Sport Bike, became a Touring motorcycle in its later evolution (Voyager). This is the Sport Bike version which I prefer. It's got lots of power and is very smooth due to the inline 6 engine. There are other inline 6 cylinder bikes out there (Honda CBX, Benelli Sei) but this is the only water-cooled, shaft drive one I'm aware of. Back in the early 80's I remember a Cycle magazine article about someone on this bike setting a world record wheelie in California...65 miles!. I wanted one back then but only got this one a few years ago.

  • The grips are aftermarket

  • 100rockon: I sold my other tank...through KZ1300.com. It's a great website and David Ewing is the authority on these bikes. If he doesn't know...no one does.

  • It's a 1982...but I found the 1979 tank for it because I liked it better

  • Ah... That's a beauty. Aren't you lucky man? I love this, and the CBX, for obvious reasons, just like I like big breasted women, I like big breasted motorcycles. I mean, when this thing is leaning to the curve, it looks really amazing. Fantastic machine!!!

  • Nice clean bike!!

What kind of grips/throttle are those?

    Thanks!

  • @KenKZ1300 Its a nice one for sure. Still have the 82 tank?

  • Actually, it's an 81' model. Left side ignition, single alternator = 81'.
