It's called Raynaud's Syndrome... and it's painful as hell - google it - it's from temperature changes/stress or both and happens mainly to women - you are born with it. I feel her pain :(

Wow..what a mystery..she wears long black gloves in summer while filming a dancing / singing number for a guest spot on TV show ( Eli Stone ), and her hands turn purple. It could have been simply her hands getting sweaty because of the heat and the dye of her gloves coming off on her hands making them look purple. With the media it just has to be something to do with Scientology , no other reasonable or possable explanation given . What great and objective reporting ..NOT !!!!
