On September 25th 2008, progressives came together in 251 emergency rallies in 41 states saying NO to the $700 billion Bush corporate bailout for Wall Street. As a result, the tax giveaway, assumed to be a "done deal" only a few days earlier was stalled and being reconsidered by lawmakers who are stunned by the speed and scale of America's reaction. Instead, Congress turned to work on an economic recovery package for Main Street.
spending and borrowing money that we don't have is not wise economic policy....we don't do it at home and our elected officials need to be fiscally responsible...stop spending our money like drunken sailors. Taxpayers don't like working hard for their money to fund 6 billion to organizations like ACORN, we don't need to spend 6 billion on paid "volunteers" forcing Americans to "serve' when we are the most generous nation of citizens-enough already!

I don't understand. Why shouldn't we all want to give the wealthiest companies and richest people their welfare checks? Those golden parachutes won't pay for security gards forever.
