Quaker Parrot Baby Quaking

Kiwi, the quaker parrot we rescued after she fell from the palm tree, is enjoying one of her last baby food meals. Note how she quakes when she is about to eat. That is why they are called "Quaker" parrots! She took a little of her fine pellet mix today, but still loves getting her baby food from Daddy!

kiwi is now just over a year old and a darling pet.

Kiwi is connected to everything that happens, and says bybe bye when we leave, gives kisses, and has learned lots more words from our macaw who talks all the time. funny to see one parrot teaching another to talk!

@computertest22 Hi! we used a powdered formula called "exact".  mixed with water, it is like baby birdie formula. the needle is called a syringe, it is like a little turkey baster.

Kiwi is all grown up now and says lots of things, and gives kisses and has a cute obstinate personality!

Oh the quaker shake! Too cute. I have a friend here in NC who raises quakers and I love watching her videos. I have a hen named Tiki myself. She adores baths. Kiwi is very beautiful. Do you have any more of her now that she's no longer a baby?
