This video is taken in a waste water treatment plant. The background noise is from the water processing equipment not from the trap. The Mega Catch trap is in a placement to utilize the heat from the electrical panel behind it. The normal running of the trap is done in the dark so the only light is from the built in 3 color L.E.D. lure. The house lights are on only to show how the mosquitoes land on the trap and not fly into it. The trap will catch a small amount of mosquitos in a day, about a half cup of dead mosquitoes. The number of caught mosquitoes did not change despite changing from the wet trap to the dry trap. (the wet and dry traps are options in the operation of the Mega Catch trap) The number of caught mosquitoes was also unchanged by the scent lures that are another operational option. A bug zapper in the same building in almost the same placement kills about a gallon container full of mosquitoes.

  • @MosquitoMagnetRepair Per the author's comment, the noise is not the Mega Catch but the hardware behind it. Also, anyone who owns one AND WHO READ THE MANUAL knows that the heat provided by the Mega Catch lures them to the location where the fan then sucks them in. Having it in close proximity to a very LARGE heat source ain't gonna help any!

    I hope that helps.

BTW, where the CO2 cannister? Or is this their cheaper model? I'd strongly recommend the Ultra

    if you're serious.

  • This makes a lot of noise compared to the Mosquito Magnet. It doesn't seem to be trapping the mosquitoes either.

  • Move to a cold country rather.

  • Why are they all sun bathing on the outside? Aren't they meant to be inside being dehydrated?!!!

  • doesn't look like it works very well... HOW DO YOU HAVE A TON OF MOSQUITOS IN THAT BUILDING??? You must have lot of stagnant water pools for their breeding....
