WW2 is seen as old and very distant. Things that are in black and white boring documentaries. Still it's just time not experiences that separate a terrifying experience of someone trying to ensure that the life you breathe is actively pursued to ensure it stopped.

I wouldn´t go so far to call the crew of the Sherman Nazis....
The brave German tank crew survived. Only one of them was killed. God bless them.
