I think he uses the same scale in that song that I use in this one. I was taught this scale by a sitar player and was told that it's name was the Bhairav scale. Here is the formula for this scale. (1,b2,3,4,5,b6,7).
It is very cool in that it sounds minor and major at the same time somehow.

"Misirlou" is an old Egyptian song re-vamped by Dick Dale and heard on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. It shares the flatted 2nd and flatted 6th scale, as well. I use it myself and although it has a Major 3rd, it doesn't sound like it is in a major key. It sounds very exotic... especially to Western ears (Western-ers). Cool!!!

That B would have to be a Bb if it's G harmonic minor. You have the notes right though. I refer to that as the D Bhairav scale. A sitar player taught me that scale and that's what he called it, so I stuck with that name.
