I'm really enjoying the first video and am looking forward to the next. I hadn't realized how little I was using my inner thighs until I started using this video. My goal is to get through the whole thing without my ankles "crying"!! ; )

is there a cardio that is suited for dancers then? I agree that ballet class and rehearsals are enough for most dancers, and that yoga and such do not enhace turnout, but what if you took time off and gain weight, or are in between contracts and taking just a mornign ballet class? or for some reason you gained 20 pounds? hormones sickness, whatever, then what should you do? I run, but if there was another cardio that i could do that do not interfere with ballet, i would change, fou sure

I opted out of running in PE because it is bad for dancers- we sent them a whole article on it and I was excused.
This Blog and program are referring to Russian ballet pedagogy and related topics, which was stated clearly in the Blog. Their policy about cross training and cardio has been in place since before America was a country, to put this in perspective for those who are not posses any pedagogical credentials; or common sense apparently.
