  • Mike Rose mentions Minecraft about 11 times in his "review." Even the title states that it isn't really a review, it's a comparison with a "go buy it" at the end. The fact that he calls Terraria's player base dense fanboys threw me off. I for one have never played Minecraft and would like to see an unbiased review of Terraria without blatantly comparing the two. Must be a huge journalistic challenge for people to completely omit the comparison as I have yet to see a review do it.

  • @RancidShamble Play Minecraft. You'll see why you can't review Terraria without mentioning it. He doesn't say that Terraria's player base is made up of "dense fanboys." The exact phrase is: "Anyone who tells you that Terraria is not a 2D Minecraft clone is either a) a huge Terraria fanboy, or b) a bit dense." I stand by that. It might be better than Minecraft, it might offer more, but it's obviously, obviously based on Minecraft.

  • Anthony, how much of the show do you actually do? You seem like you do almost all of the bytejacker shower. But this is nothing more than idol speculation from me.

  • @JKawasawa Hey! Nick here. Your guess is pretty much right on the nose - other than curating the video comments (which I do) and editing (which is still Anthony half the time), literally everything you see in Bytejacker is the result of Anthony's hard work. Crazy, right?

If there was ever a time to show our gratitude for three years of this show, it's now. It's impossible to find anyone with more genuine passion for indie games. Let Anthony know you appreciate him, guys!

  • capcom? looks more snk-ish to me

  • Humble Bundle 4!

  • Meh,Touhou looks more of a challenge ;) cool game though,I really like shmups. The debs did a good job representing the genre.

  • oew he mentioned mars matrix and cave, he must know shmups -.-. this game is only good on the hardest difficulties. and you can totally see where they look ideas from, ur main ship is totally the dodonpachi ship and so are the levels, the last level was obviously inspired by the treasure, ikaruga/raidiant silvergun. i enjoyed it though, like to se more games like this.

  • @bytejacker HEY Guess WHAT?! Minecraft wasn't original, I personally love and own both, but people are being huge assholes about terraria being a clone, when it CLEARLY is not.

  • @darkinertia2 Oh I meant the Judgement difficulty level in Jamestown.

  • @bytejacker lol I know it's impossible not to mention MC when reviewing Terraira and I know where Terraria's roots came from. I just think he over did it a lil. When I see the word clone, I think of an exact copy. Seems Mike kinda contradicts himself by highlighting the major differences b/w both games. Meh, whatever. I'm just a new fan hoping to hear your views on it. To me, your opinion is more respectable. If not, check out Space Pirates and Zombies. Top down space shooter RPG in beta :)

  • @N3utra1Gaming I will totally run this country like Bill Pullman in Independence Day.
