  • He really did manage to make them all sound exactly the same. I guess he only needs one :)

  • I've heard the man himself, Bob Moog, say his own name many times. It's pronounced "mogue" like "vogue". If you don't like it, tough shit! It's the guys name for Christ sake. It's not open for debate.

  • @nphoria63 Well, they claimed it was when they launched it.

  • Please stop complaining about the patches all sounding the same. If you listen to Roger's albums you would have an appreciation for what he is doing in this video.

  • I didn't know James Spader played synths.

  • It's amazing that someone can claim to collect "Moooogs" and not know anything about them, such as the Micromoog being his first one but not even knowing how many oscillators it had, and the Memorymoog being 8 Mini's in one box? Nah. I like the cure but the music he's playing along to here is truly dreadful, as is the unimaginitive synth sounds (or sound, singular) used to demonstrate them. I could fart more musically. Next!

  • @noizy4 No they dont use it to test the hearing but it can be used in some surgical procedures, for example some people suffer from a condition called "being full of shit", what happens is the shit builds up over time and streches the anal opening so wide that you can ram a minimoog right up there and it will remove any of that excess shite. Usually these people go on to develope another condition called "being a sarcastic cunt" which is very contagious ;)

  • @Morne555 Isee, so the Minimog is a kind of scientific equipment. Did it get used in Doctor Richard Moogs surgery? Is it for making sounds to test the hearing. Colin has many Moog synthersizers doesn't he.

  • @noizy4 Minimoog isnt an organ, its a synthesizer - completly different instrument lol The idea of a synth is you can "synthesize" different sounds. Most of the moog synths only play one note at a time. I think the memory moog could play 8 notes at a time. Most of todays synth are digital and are alot more flexible but analogue synths have a "sound" to them that still make them popular today, even though they can only play one note at a time!

  • A very interesting collection of home organs you have there Colin. The Minimoog organ is very interesting, do you know any chords? I saw you were only playing one note at a time. When did you stop playing keyboards for Supertramp? I liked your early stuff!

  • well now........you suck hope since this comment is at the end of 2011 you hopefully got better

  • hi, which track/melody do you play on the memory moog? what's the background?

    i like it!! =)
