I've used this same passage to demonstrate the bible does NOT include ALL of God's word. For just as God's word was hidden/lost for a season or two back then, so too has much of God's word been hidden today. But people claim today that God would never allow His word to be hidden, temporarily misplaced or forgotten. This story, however, proves otherwise.
The problem today though is not so much that His word is lost, but rather rejected in favor of cherry picked passages.
