1) Video Arcades were really huge back then, but we all know that. And 2) Mis.Watson is metioned, but nither her or Mary Jane apper in the series, so they set up love triangle with Peter Parker, Bobby Drake and Angelica Jones and it made the show even better. Some say Angelica bares a resumblice to the 70's verion of Mary Jane.
