Tegan and Sara - "I got my period like the 2nd day..."

The Bronson Centre, Ottawa - 10th October 2007

Tegan: We did this like, government, it was like some sort of like government thing? Ok, do you remember what it was? What was it? Like a summer camp for kids who wanted to be in government or something?
Sara: No. It was a French/English thing. Like to build relations between French and English Canadians.
Tegan: Ok. Thank you. An um, and we were like one of the musical acts that came to play for them and we got to sleep in a big giant army tent and, um, I got my period like the second day and I was all like where am I meant to find tampons? Like, it was the middle of nowhere, so...?
Sara: It wasn't really nowhere. It was Hull.
Tegan: It was the middle of the night, 4am (something) thing and I was all like I'm in an army tent and ugh! I mean, now I'd be all like well I'd find somebody and just ask them but I was like nineteen then so I was like really shy and I was like but I was like nineteen then so I was like really shy and I was like, no it's ok i'll just use leaves and grass and stuff. No! I used old socks (I think that's what she says?!). Anyway. No, I didn't.
